The rules. Read and enjoy! It may be a good idea for you to skim over the other articles found in Information before you join, just to get a feel of the game.
General
Manners make the world go 'round!
Well, no they don't, but they are greatly appreciated, and needed in this forum.
Remember the basics - Use your common sense, no god-moding and no power-playing!
We have the gift of language, so use it. That means no 'txt' speak, and minimum swearing please! You should be able to describe what you mean easily without it!
Try not to fight amongst one another in OOC, if you must, then do it in pm's and don't drag other members into it
Activity is a must! If you don't post within two weeks, and have given us no away notice, then you will be sent an email.
Please, in OOC, don't post any hate speech. That includes any racist, sexist or homophobic language!
This probably isn't the best place for you if it is your first role play
Posting
Please keep all posts to at least 100 words long. That is roughly five or so sentences, or a paragraph. We have a word count, so this should be easy to follow
All in character posts that do not meet this limit will be deleted!
Try to read over all posts before posting them, and use the spell check, which is available next to the preview button
I ask that people try and keep their grammar at least to understandable levels as well
Once you have posted your joining post, please wait for approval before you start role-playing.
If you don't have enough time to write a 100+ word post, then don't respond until you do have the time!
Characters
All characters are wild, and were born wild. So no 'escaping from humans' please. Humans do no exist in this world!
Oh, and remember that everyone's breed is an Arabian. I have supplied some information about the breed under 'Information'
This role-play is based in Egypt, around the Nile
Please fill out everything in the joining form! Or I will ask you to fill it in properly.
Please only have around four characters - If you really want more, then pm me. I will most likely let you, as long as I can see that all of your other characters are active.
Please don't name your characters after Ancient Egyptian gods!
Please don't join anything under the age of two.
New Rule: One character per account, please
You may keep links to your other character accounts, as well as your OOC/CBox name in your signature, so that others know who you play
Foals born on the game are played on the dams account until they reach maturity, unless the player wants to create the account as soon as it is born.
Ageing
One season lasts one month
And one year lasts four seasons(So one year RP time is four months RL time)
Please remember this and age your characters accordingly!
Foals may have speeded up ageing, if you wish, so can be fully mature after just one season/one month has passed.
Lands
There are three lands. Light, neutral and dark.
Each land has one main herd, where the king resides, and two other herds.
Only a stallion may lead a land, and he doesn't have to choose a lead mare.
As many mares and as many stallions may reside in one land as the lead wishes
Look under 'The Lands' thread found in Information for a map and more detail about the land set-up of nile.
Stallions
Fully mature at Three
May claim mares, and a land
Are physically stronger than mares, but this isn't an excuse to power play!
May force breed females
Mares
Fully mature at Three
Cannot claim a land, nor other mares or stallions. They may, however, invite other mares or stallions to the herd they live in, if the lead gives them permission to.
Are physically weaker than stallions, though not by that much!
Can be force bred and claimed by stallions
Breeding and Birthing
Graphic and force breeding is allowed, but keep it to the appropriate boards. Don't let it go into too much detail, it isn't wanted, and goes against Proboards TOS. We don't want this site deleted!
Any mare going into the breeding grounds alone is open to be force bred, so get the stallion to post first if you don't want that to happen
It is up to the mare if she gets pregnant after a breeding
A mare is pregnant for Two real life weeks before she gives birth, about half a season.
To get the stats of your foal, post both the dam's and sire's stats in the correct board, and an admin will give you the stats.
The code to get into the Joining board is: sands
Breeding for a foal can only happen in winter and summer.
Breeding during spring and autumn will not result in a foal.
